Good application

The app is great but, please fix the PTT option for the iPhones Completely unable to use my volume buttons as a PTT button please fix!

I love this app, this app is so helpful through all things. Jobs, friends, or just for use to enjoy at any time. This app is so useful but one thing they need to add is a overlay button for iPhone. Only android and PC versions include the overlay but iPhone does not, so please add overlay for iPhone. Overall Rating 5/5

A Zello release corrupted the volume on my iPhone for all other apps. When Zello is open and active the volume on all other apps is maximum half. The only way to restore full volume is to kill Zello. But here is the kicker: when you contact Zello and file a complaint you get ZERO response. They couldn’t care less.

So far so good!!

No matter what I do the app simply won’t install. There’s plenty of storage on my device but when I click to download the app it swirls like it’s going to install but immediately comes back to the install button like it hadn’t been pressed at all

Since updating to IOS 18 this app has been terrible. It always pops up on my Lock Screen, the time is constantly taken up by a blue oval that links to Zello, and there is no option to turn this off despite what help articles say. When I listen to saved messages they get cut off if a new one comes in despite my “busy” status. So very annoying, please have one of your updates address this issue for iPhone users.

I’m not sure if it has to do with the update of my software, but once I updated my phone, Zello will not play over the speaker like it used to. I literally have to have the app open and on the contact to be able to hear messages that are coming in rather than automatic like it used to be and should be.. very frustrating and useless now as I need it to be playing automatically

I am a fan of Zello. However the most recent app has caused it to no longer work in the background. Happened after 18.3 update.

The app keeps freezing up like it shuts down every time. My phone goes on lock and it happened after the iOS and the update. Don’t know what exactly what’s going on but a lot of bugs that needs to be fixed. Also tried to report a problem and it won’t even let you record it so I’m having to leave a review to report my problem.

No entra los audios

The Dynamic Island feature needs to be optional. As it stands there is no way to turn it off, so Zello is always occupying the Dynamic Island even if you haven’t recently used the app. MANY apps scroll to the top by tapping the top of the screen, however because Zello is occupying that space it always prompts you by mistake. The Dynamic Island feature is probably useful for some people who use their phone primarily for Zello communication, but for causal users it’s a menace. I’m probably going to delete the app because of it.

I love the app except that It does not support apple watch :(

. 5467 version on iPhone. It won’t let me (Log IN )to my existing account that I have . Please fix the issue

This app used to be amazing several years ago, there was a list of trending channels to find tons of people to talk to, lots of different types of people. They changed that in like 2018 and made the app very difficult to find other users. Now it’s fine to talk to people you already know but don’t expect to meet new people. Gone are those days :(

I like it but i sont like it randomly disconnects me during impkrtant situatuations

The new lock screen has ruined this app. I also can longer playback transmissions without them stopping. Zello now also has to be open and in the front to hear any channels regardless if not muted. Thank God I still have an old android phone that works, because thats the only way I can monitor channels now.

Since the latest update I’ve had a blue circle/oval permanently around the time. It’s extremely annoying and many time I can’t tell the time. Please fix this to the old way!!

I am a heavy user of Zello with lore than 20 actively monitored channels. I cannot stand the new lockscreen PTT features and will have to uninstall it from my daily use phone. I will keep it on an alternate old phone but this is the worst new feature in the history of PTT apps.

Don’t waste your time you can’t even create an account. It doesn’t accept your password and yes, it is over eight characters. Give me a break.

I’ve used this app for over a year, and unfortunately just upgraded to iOS 18. In doing so, I can’t listen to or watch anything else with Zello running (even though I have my channels muted). With the use of the push to talk framework, all audio/video on the phone either stops or the volume is cut in half. At one point on prior iOS versions they had fixed this, but not now. If my channels weren’t muted, I would understand why it does what it does. But I still want to log the history without the phone stopping everything else (or my truck constantly saying ‘call muted’ on CarPlay.

I’ve used Zello for years off and on I first tried a few different PTT apps that weren’t very good at all, but from the first time I used Zello I never needed to use or even look for another I was able to do everything I needed to and has so many more features/settings and is easy to share contact info weather your needed to communicate with 1 person or a channel of dozens hundreds.

APP REVIEW I’ve been using the Zello app for a couple of years now and I do like it very much, but I’ve noticed that after my friend and I have been talking for awhile, the app starts to get glitchy and sometimes we both have to reboot the app to get it to work properly. Other than that glitch, I have no issues with Zello and I really liked using it when I was in Scottsdale, Arizona for a week and my friend back in Ohio were able to talk. He would say that it was Dark outside in Ohio and I would say that the Sun is shining in Scottsdale for another 2 hours. I thought that was pretty cool!

When my phone is charging the audio stops.

I like zello. Thank you for the free service. I would ask to consider an app for the apple watch. It has a native "walkie talkie" app but it is long forgotten first-party abandonware. Thank you.

This is a fantastic app, been using it for years. I’m shocked that it’s not on Apple Watch, given that the walkie talkie app native to the AW is not very good

It’s actually a good app when it works. But I frequently can’t record a message, group chats are almost unusable, the sound quality is abysmal, and it will not work on an iPhone while charging wirelessly. For whatever reason it eliminates the microphone input. Which renders it almost useless.

Was the best. Something has happened. I live 2 miles from Verizon tower, one as the crow flies. Even with 2-3 bars of 5G, signal is poor to bad. If this is a ploy to get people to purchase the app, that's gonna be a hard no.

It aint it. Bring the old version back for Iphone. I don’t 73 different screens to leave etc.

Doesn’t work with iPhone 16 pro. Cuts off the ringing of the phone on incoming calls.

It was three of us working a 14 hr shift with loading n unloading everyone on buses but we were at a distant from each-other n this app came in handy .. i loved it!

If you have channels that users are using android, your app won’t recieve the messages or save to history if your using iOS18

For all those who were told to get this app for use in emergency situation, such as hurricanes, a message from the developers: ! Attention all Zello users on the path of Hurricane Milton! Despite claims on social media, the Zello app relies on your phone's data connection to work. If cell towers and WiFi fail, you will not be able to use the Zello app to communicate.

I'm using this as an back up comms solution. I'm thinking about using a channel to replace a podcast I produce.
